Changelog
What's new in Localify.
v2.0.0
August 2026 CurrentFree for everyone, three ways to use it
- All features free — the six core capabilities are no longer locked behind Pro.
- BYOK unlimited trial — connect your own Claude, DeepSeek, Gemini, or OpenAI key and use the full plugin free, with no limits.
- Cloud AI with free quota — no key needed; 100 credits (≈10,000 source characters) free every month.
New plugin experience
- Redesigned UI: vertical sidebar (Account / Translate / API / credits ring) with a resizable panel.
- Account page: user ID, membership status, monthly quota, top-up balance, and renewal date.
- API page: Cloud AI / BYOK mode switch with dual progress bars for monthly and top-up credits.
Credits system
- 1 credit = 100 source characters (context and glossary are free).
- Free 100 credits/month; Pro 5,000 credits/month; top-ups never expire.
- Deduction order: monthly credits first, then top-up credits.
Pay-to-activate
- Creem payments (monthly / yearly / top-up) activate Pro automatically via webhook — no key copying.
- License binds to your Figma user ID; manual activation remains as a fallback.
- Pricing: $7.9/month, $49/year (≈ −48%, plus a one-time 5,000-credit bonus), $3 per 1,000 top-up credits.
Stability & quality
- Fixed credit polling race conditions; Pro status is no longer overwritten by stale data.
- Hardened batch translation JSON parsing with retry and validation.
- Daily rate limits and credit pre-checks to prevent over-consumption.
- Better design-intent detection: selected elements show their detected role in real time.
Still here
UX context awareness, unlimited batch translation, 100% style preservation, quadrant tone control, auto width adaptation, conversational polish, 150+ languages, glossary, custom prompts, and Magic Edit sessions. Legacy license keys remain valid and keep Pro benefits.
Earlier versions (v1.x): one-time purchase unlock + BYOK. With v2.0, the model changed to "all features free + optional subscription credits"; existing license keys continue to work and keep their Pro benefits.
